This draft describes the intended MVP and must be approved before external student testing.
1. Eligibility and accounts
The MVP is for current NTU students who can verify an eligible @e.ntu.edu.sg email address. You must provide accurate information, keep access to your account secure, and use only your own eligible student email.
2. What NTUMatch’a is
NTUMatch’a is an independent, anonymous, voice-first friend-making service. It is not a dating service and is not an official service of Nanyang Technological University. Matching is random within the product’s eligibility and preference rules, and no match or friendship is guaranteed.
3. Respectful use
Do not harass, threaten, impersonate, discriminate against, exploit, spam, or pressure another person; share unlawful or harmful content; attempt to reveal private identities; evade blocks or restrictions; interfere with the service; or use it for commercial solicitation. Respect another student’s decision not to respond or exchange Telegram details.
4. Voice content and Telegram
You are responsible for voice messages and other content you submit. Only send content you have the right to share. Telegram usernames remain private until both participants have each sent at least one voice message and then independently consent to reveal them. Greetings do not count as voice messages, one-sided consent reveals nothing, and exchanging Telegram usernames does not extend the conversation’s seven-day timer. Any conversation that continues on Telegram is governed by Telegram’s separate service.
5. Time limits, deletion, and safety
Conversations expire after seven days and then become inaccessible. You may leave, block, report, or delete your account through the available controls. NTUMatch’a may restrict or remove access when reasonably necessary for safety, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or service integrity. Data handling after these actions follows the Privacy Policy.
6. Beta availability
The service may change, pause, or be unavailable during the private beta. Features can contain errors, and access may be limited while the product is tested. We will take reasonable care in operating the service but cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free availability.
